ETA: unless, of course, Williams has a year of eligibility left

Hell no. OJ was guilty as sin. This guy is not going down for double murder. Probably going to get manslaughter. You can't underestimate the impact of the guy going to his car and getting his pistol.

While this event is very sad, what's most important is that Nick and Terry Saban are back in the college game and are once again happy.

Yeah, I know with these individuals we're probably looking at the lower echelon of the population and there's no rationale to their actions. However, in the future, maybe Mr. and Mrs. Saban might be more consderate of how their selfish actions affect others.

Mr. Advocat

When I see an Alabama fan like yourself on our posting site it makes me think of someone who probably sits at home in front of a computer because he cant get threw the front door because he lacks any athletic ability to be able to even stand up for more than 5 minutes before needing oxygen. Yea Bama BARELY won on Saturday in OT. Let it go! Its the SEC and most people in the SEC will probably prefer to see Bama play for the Title than SC Trojans. Go back to your beloved teams web site and talk about how good the 12 national titles were and how Saban will replace the bad taste of the past 20 years of absolutely no success that ya'll have had. Just remember Saban will probably leave for another school for the $$ and I will laugh my arse off when it's Texas AtM he goes to!!!!!!!!!!

...to be fair...which I know you're incapable of...this was a totally legal defense of one's home after a breaking and entering...by an LSU fan.

The bammer fan will have to convince the court that he thought his life was in danger. He went back into his house, it sounds like the LSU couple stayed outside. Instead of locking the door and calling the police he preceded back outside and murdered the man, and I doubt that he will convince anyone he thought his life was in danger from the woman. He took the law into his own hands, if the guy would have forced his way into his house that would have been different. HE IS IN TROUBLE-Rammer Jammer will take on a new meaning for this gump

actually, if an armed assailant breaks into your home in Alabama you have the right to defend yourself.

Actually, its the entire homestead (yard, outbuildings, etc), not just the house proper. This has already been borne out in a few cases across the state.

NO, you go in, dial 911 and stay in. Taking the law into your own hands will NOT get you acquitted.

If a guy has a gun and I think he is going to kill me and I have defense just a few seconds away vs. calling 911, I am using the defense first. Calling 911 involves going perhaps more distance that it took to the gun, dailing, then waiting. All of this while the guy who drove to my house and is threatening me with a deadly weapon. I woudl not be worried about acquittal at that point, just my life.
