This is nowhere close to 2016. Unfortunately, it reminds me a lot of the May 2021 flooding.

The gauge at the weather station next door is reading right at 3.5 inches and that isn’t a TD joke. Looks like we are about to get a break.

And no, this is not more rain than you got in 2016 or 2021. We got over 12 inches in a few short hours in 2021. Not even close to that today. 2016 was way more than that just over a longer period.

I don’t have as much rain as 2021, but I have a small leak in my kitchen ceiling….great. Good news is I can see the water flowing to the storm drains, so they’re keeping up.

Legacy Court off Coursey(Big BR), 5+ inches in my gauge since the rain started this morning. More rain incoming is
not needed!

You should see what it looks like at your house. I can send photos if you want.

We’ve gotten a lot of rain today, but nowhere near 2021.

2021 was nonstop storming for hours. This is a lot of rain, but so far only really bad for a short period of time this morning.

We haven’t gotten much in Metairie. It’s crazy to hear how bad it is just a few miles west.

Rainfall totals around 5 inches since 3am where I am outside BR.

No flood threat, but I’ve never seen this much water in the lower spots here. Might need to install a gutter out back eventually.

It’s pretty soggy.
