Nothing at all wrong with blue collar jobs. Turnaround work and operations in the plants do way better than alot of four year bachelor degree careers.

First off they are not low skilled jobs, the take years of training. Second off they make more money than you and have job security you can only dream of

A lot better in regards to income, or quality of life? I feel like a lot of people focus solely on income when comparing blue collar and white collar jobs. Yes, someone in operations may be making 150k, but they are working 12-14 hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and are essentially at the will of their employer. Maybe that's worth it to some people, maybe it's not. But it should all be taken into account.
