No one hates Jayden Daniels

Posted this in some clowns thread, but felt it needed to be shouted a little loud given some of the clowns on this board.
No one hates Jayden. In fact, I’d bet 95% of fans are extremely appreciative of what he did for this team THIS year.
I’d also bet that 95% of posters understand that if he doesn’t show significant improvement throwing the football, we’ll see more games like Arkansas, Texas 4&8, and the first half of UGA, and a lot less like Florida and Bama. SEC defenses are too good to not figure out how to stop his running. If he continues to hold the ball too long and fail to give his WRs a chance, he won’t be successful.
That’s all everything this board has blown up about is regarding. If he improves, starts to trust his receivers and pulling the trigger, he’ll be very good. If not, the fan base will turn on him and start calls for Nuss and/or Howard.
We can debate whether he will make those strides or not. But this whole “tRant hates Jayden” bull shite needs to stop.

It’s not about Daniels, it’s just about an LSU quarterback.
The fans will think the back up is always better.
Unless the quarterback is someone like Burrow.

There are plenty of posts that prove to the contrary. Also the refusal of alot of posters to acknowledge that Nuss would need to improve tremendously to win the starting job baffles me. Nothing he showed this year showed he deserves that job

People need to stop acting like they know better than the damn coaching staff. Brian Kelly is getting paid $10 million to do his job and he knows wtf he’s doing. We have seen such a small sample size of nuss and the staff has HOURS and HOURS of practice footage.
People also need to give Jayden some damn respect. He’s a Top 5 SEC QB and He led us to the SEC championship after back to back dog shite seasons and his reward is getting shite on by the fan base every day. He should be a fan favorite for what he’s done

You might not hate him. I would agree that the majority of folks who are critical of him do not hate him.
But there are an extremely vocal minority that do hate him. I don’t mean this in the ”hate him as a person” sense, but in the sense that they are 100% convinced that there is no possible way he can ever be our best QB option, and they feel the need to make these comments in every thread that’s remotely related to the offense.
I’m talking about the people who are still calling him Jordan Jefferson / Brandon Harris 2.0. Or the people who were pissed about wins early in the season because it meant he wouldn’t be benched.
Again I don’t think they’re the majority. They are just very loud about it. Most of them have been bitching about the QB situation since long before the Arkansas game.

first half of UGA
16 of 26. 203 yards. Other than the fluke int, Jayden led LSU down the field every drive in the first half.
This is an example of people hating Jayden..can't even acknowledge when he plays well.

Real fans, yes. That number is a lot lower on this board.

He is already very good. He has room to improve, but you don't win the SEC west with this roster by being average.

This started before the season opener. The mouth breathers shut up briefly b/c of the UF, ole miss, & bama games.

All you have to do is go back to the threads on the scoreboard or the rant right after each game to prove yourself wrong.

The Rant is filled with trolls. $hit stirs. Just like social media, stir it up and the sheep will follow.
I have a friend who is a Bama fan. He told me once he loved coming on here and posted BS just to see the reactions.

You were wrong.
You have an inflated sense of self-importance. This belongs either back in your head or at most buried among the posts in any number of “I hate JD” threads started by Nuss frick boys.

People really have been anti Daniels since the FSU game, quiet af when he plays well but loud as hell when he doesn't.

I don’t hate Daniels, I hate all these threads about Daniels

For the most part this is true but there certainly are some irrational people who wanted him to leave the team for the NFL and are blaming him for Boutte leaving (which is absurd given the timing of Boutte's declaration)

Going to be hilarious when Jayden is preseason 1st team all sec.

This thread is a testament to our inability to see and appreciate nuance.
Of course, there could be an exception or two “haters” but the point remains a discussion on who is equipped to handle the starting job at LSU moving forward is a valid one.
To pretend that any criticism is “hate” is absurd. It is also worth noting that a few exceptions does not disprove the rule. “No one hates” is not literal! It’s an idiom to counter a broader narrative.
A figure of speech, that counters the everyone hates JD narrative.
Nuance is our friend. We can show a level of grace to those we differ with.
This is coming from a JD supporter, and a fan of Nuss.
Two thoughts can be held in our heads simultaneously that are not contradictory.

Well, history shows we can be optimistic that he will. So good news there.

Texas 4&8
We REALLY can’t keep calling them this after we shite the bed and made them Texas 5&7
While it was an awesome nickname and perfect counterpunch to 8&4…we fricked up on it and cost ourselves the perfect nickname for them.
