Derek Carr to Miami?

Tua talk is now a potential retirement.

Right, the roster is good minus QB. If he even plays half decent this year the Raiders would have already clenched again.

Do you really believe this? They’re 12th in scoring offense. Run a balanced attack with a tier 1, high touch RB. And we’re without WR2 and TE1 for much of the season.

The Raiders Defense is a mess
YPG: 24th
PPG: 23rd
TO forced: 31
Sacks: 30

Excluding Carrs worst 4 performances where they could have won in spite of them, in which they went 1-3 and would have been 2-2 if their defense weren’t a clown car, Carr threw for 2,600 yards, 18 TD, 4 INT — the raiders went 5-6 and blew 3 leads of more than 3 scores. Waller dropped 2 TD against Tennessee, a game in which Carr rallied them and they should have won.

This season is an outlandish failure on the part of the raiders staff, not Carr. Rich Bassaccia has this same team at 10-5 or 11-4 right now.

So Davante Adams did everything in his power to reunite with Carr who is now being benched

What a bad deal for Raiders, Packers, and now Adams who will be catching balls from Stidham on his way to a 4-13 season.

Carr has played like absolute shite the last 5 weeks and his 9TD 9INT reflect that, however the previous 10 weeks he had 15 TD and 5 INT

Carr went from 5 straight years of fringe top 10 QB play to 26th this year. Said he's struggled to grasp McDaniels complicated offense among other things.

He's always been bad with a bad OL as he can't run or create on his own and tends to shite himself. He's also terrible in cold weather.

Waller could be a beast. Cannot stay healthy.

Also shout-out to Ziegler who gave the Raiders the out in Carr's contract.

Whew.

First 8 games
62.3% 11 TD 5 INT 1880 Yards 88.5 Rating

Next 8 games:
59% 13 TD 9 INT 1642 Yards 83.2 Rating

Hell December has been a struggle for him:
53.4% 782 Yards 6 TD 7 INT

Every other month he is an above average probably fringe Top 10 QB

The raiders were 3-2 in that stretch and even if you concede the 3 INT loss to Pittsburgh as Carr’s fault, the loss to the Rams saw Carr attempt like 6 passes in the second half. They should have been 4-1 there.

McDaniels & Co tried to pound the ball into one of the best rush D fronts in the league and sit on the ball, only to watch his defense give up the longest 2 minute drive in NFL history to a man 48 hours into his tenure with the team, a drive in which a newly acquired DL committed a game saving personal foul after a game ending sack by another player and then his DC called for press man coverage in the red zone, with 15 seconds left and the QB who didn’t know the offense having no TO, putting an undrafted rookie on an island to win a jump ball.

Not to mention he's so bad in cold weather. Not a good trait for late in year or playoffs.

I said right after that pick last week that sealed his fate. I really don't think McDaniels wanted him this year either.

Lol stop. If they can’t get a better QB that an enable them to stay competitive, they should trade him and waller now and stockpile picks because with guys like Stidham, they’re headed for the tank. 4-13 type team with this staff. They can’t protect 3 score leads and have a bottom feeder defense.

Got to be a typo, why would he get a gurranteed contract if he didn’t pass a physical
I think it becomes guaranteed completely if he’s injured, which is why he was benched…to avoid the entire payout.

Crazy that he signed that.

Seems like they’re choosing this route instead of axing McDaniels after one year, which probably was and should be a legitimate consideration. My guess is they’re looking at the vet options since McDaniels needs to win next year to get a third

Tom Brady, Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders?

Feels like the stars are aligning for that to happen in 2023, if Brady doesn't retire.

Josh McDaniels is auditioning Jared Stidham to be Tom Brady's backup QB in 2023

As I said last week, now they're picking up on it nationally. Too much smoke last few weeks on this. Hopefully Tom has some left in the tank.

Better hope they don’t miss on it. Brady is playing with a much better defense now and looks like shite. Division sucks and he’s a fringe playoff contender in it with a losing record. His passer rating is on Carrs level. Aaron Rodgers has more in the tank and is doing more with less today, i would be on board with that. But this staff is a laugher and has demonstrated sheer incompetence and the defense is an absolute abortion that can’t stop anyone.

Why? Gave him the out too. He’s a 31 year old with a big time arm and 35k passing yards to his name in a league with a lot of really bad QB. He won’t end up taking a paycut here, he will be a starter elsewhere next year and might even keep his contract if they find a trade. Would be hilarious if this GM gets nothing for him and he signs a bigger deal elsewhere.

Brady in Las Vegas would be amazing, but that’s a tough division and conference. He’d be better off in NO if his goal is to win another Super Bowl.
