I tend to agree with you but at the end of the day, my kids love it. The first thing they do when they wake up is go looking for the elf and that makes my heart smile. It’s worth the hassle.

Oh I agree with that for sure. Just hate the damage control. My kid came home today asking if adults can touch the elf. I said no. Well my teacher picked ours off the floor today and said it was fine cause she’s an adult. Uhhhhhhhhhh…. Lol

Granddaughters came over yesterday so excited. The elf was in the birdcage! Awesome.

It's like hiding Easter Eggs. It's fun.

People triggered by the Elf have mistletoe stuck up their arse.

Exactly this. We have three. I hate them all equally.

This for sure, but man it's annoying

I have twin boys, 11.5 years old. I'm kinda surprised they still seem to think it's very real.

Funny thing is, this year my wife and I completely forgot about it. A couple of days ago my kid asked, and my wife and I just kinda said we thought we saw it a couple of times but maybe the boys didn't see it, he was just hiding really well.

So after forgetting, I realized how great it was not realizing at 11pm every single night and not having to get out of bed to do it but...

We finally put it out last night, the boys found it this morning, and mannnnn, the entire 5 minute drive to school this morning that was all they talked about. All the ideas they had for where he's been hiding and how they missed him.

So now I actually feel terrible about it, as this could very well be the last year it's real for them. Ah well, I think as a family, we'll get through it
