I think Meghan didn't really understand the British aristocracy before she married into that family. the European aristocracy is a very esoteric circle. socialites in that circle usually have titles, land and come from old money.
Churchill's mother was a rich American with no titles. Churchill's father had titles and connections but did not have money. she was an outsider amongst the European lords and ladies.

So much to unpack here, but will attempt to make it quick. do not post often. I know that journalistic integrity is at an all-time low. But for a journalist to include anything this person says is beyond belief. So you mean to tell me that after a brief conversation, in which you were questioned about your ancestral background. That not only were you so traumatized that you remember nothing from arguably one of the most famous buildings in the world after said conversation, but that you also stuck around after that conversation?
And that after your catatonic state in which you were in, you remember every single word that a person that was "interrogating" you said over two weeks later. GTFO. How any sane person could look at that and then say, yep that's not only reliable but word for word what happened. Never once in my life have I ever seen staff or people in general, working a function, just randomly walk up to people and touch their hair and ask them questions like that. And not a single other person of hundreds saw this happen?

During Obama's 8 years the most common cover of those mags at the check out were of Michelle.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy her sob story of not knowing what was expected of her, what the royal protocol was, etc. She claimed she didn't know she was supposed to curtsy to the Queen. Seriously?? After seeing what happened to his mother, you can't tell me that Harry didn't do everything in his power to make sure his wife was ready for her role in the family.
My guess is that she wanted all of the fairy tale aspects of being a princess, but didn't want to deal with the duties and service that came with the position. She married into an institution, not just a family. She knew exactly what she was signing up for.
