LSU needs a new arena that has luxury boxes.

We can afford to go 1st class. Build a brand new one with all of the suites, bells and whistles and have it seat upwards of 15,000. We were second to none when I was in school (the height of the Dale Brown era) and we should be again.

It felt more crisp and precise. I know that doesn’t make sense but it’s hard to put a finger on.
You're correct.

This doesn't make any sense at all.

What exactly makes a Basketball Arena "Crisp and Precise."

I guess that the new GBFTL Complex is more "C & P" than the our old Band Room next to the old School of Music.

I disagree with the people who want to decrease capacity. That is going backwards. Let’s build a new one with increased capacity and put a product on the floor that will fill it up like it was when I was in school. Is the current generation not capable of doing that?

The problem is the same as TS. 102k is only necessary 10% of the games, regardless of product.

The world we live in is going to fewer sporting events.

10k, intimate, close to the court, suites, amenities is the way to go. Sure you will have a few games where there aren't enough seats, but the atmosphere will make up for it

I just think the more intimate you make it the better, especially since we barley get 8k in November and December. Also decreasing capacity makes the tickets tougher to get and kind of kinds a snob affect

I guess the size makes it feel less crowded and everybody and everything doesn’t feel on top of each other.
The seating isn’t at as high of an angle, more parallel than vertical.
Open air suites at the top of the first level. Edible concessions that aren’t Papa Johns.
Just a much better game environment.

That can be done with the size of the seats, spacing them out some. But you want that intimate feel, not some empty cavern.

Much needed. I still enjoy the PMac but it is just so plain and dull.

Subtle sneaking of key word noted here.

Make the exterior look like this:

With the eye logo on top of the freshly painted white dome.

Until you improve the show there’s no use improving the facility.

Our OOC schedule has sucked for years now.
Season ticket holders are getting short changed.
People aren’t going to drive through BR traffic to a new facility to see nothing but cupcakes any more than they are now.
If they plan to spend millions on a facility they need to upgrade everything else including the schedule.
Dale Brown had his faults, but he started things right. We played good teams out of conference. He built the program that way.
Back in the day basketball was big. We even hosted NCAA tournaments. The PMAC was a destination spot. People came to see quality basketball.

Brother, LSU game hot dogs are top tier. Soggy bun and all, a genuinely great experience every time I grab one.
