Currently last place in the NFC South! Tied for second worst in the NFC and 3rd worst in the NFL!

That number 35 pick is going to be amazing!

Wouldn't know, Saints won't be picking there. Throw in next year's 1st, and this team can easily be drafting around 25-28

The team needs a hard reset. Unfortunately with the mess they've managed themselves into with the cap and draft, it'll take 3 years unless they find a legit QB by pure luck.

If I'm the Saints, I accept this fate and hire the best scouting and personnel staff money can buy. You're building through the draft moving forward.

Dump Allen. Find someone who commits to a tear down and rebuild with an innovative offensive approach.

Do you know something we don't? Not sure I understand what you are saying but I am sometimes a bit dense in picking up on nuances on these online boards. We definitely have a 2nd round pick that looks to be about #35 now.

Referring to Loomis' aggressive nature to trade future pics to get back into the draft. Have said a few times over the past weeks, the higher the 2nd round pick is for the Saints in 2022; IMO, increases the odds Loomis packages that pick with the 2024 1st round pick to jump into the 1st round of 2023.

Obviously, all of that could change depending on the compensation for Payton

I can see that. I think if the Saints are looking to take a flyer on one of the project QBs in the draft, they should sit where they are. I wonder if the Mahomes fiasco has them gun-shy ever since, making them reach where they should wait.

Pels talk has always been the superior board, now the team just has the wins to back it up.

I mean honestly it's not a bad thing that our 2nd is becoming more valuable It sucks we don't have our own 1st but it's sunk cost fallacy to want to win now just to devalue that pick

Save the 2024 first rounder for Caleb Williams (or if a Joe Burrow-esque QB comes up from nowhere). Do NOT trade up at all.

Use the 2023 picks on your safeties, running back, and offensive line depth.

Try to trim the roster and eat as much cost as you can in 2023, and only extend if essential.

Hope and pray a good coach wants to take over in 2024 for the rebuild.

Make this happen Loomis….or continue this dumb original plan that is doomed to fail.

Assuming he is the #1 overall in 2024, this would imply we are tanking all of NEXT season as well as the remainder of this year. I mean, the Saints have done dumber things...
