I just picked this up for a good price off of Reverb a couple of weeks ago. Not usually a Taylor fan but this guitar absolutely SINGS when it's played:

Ordered myself a Yamaha Revstar RSS20, too bad it won't be here until mid February.

Trying to decide between a nice Telly thinline body, or a Stew Mac Offset trem guitar Kit with p-90s.
Also, I will be ordering a Seymor Duncan split coil mini humbucker for my LP junior.
I put a GFS one in there already, I love the humbucker tone of it, but when it's split to a single coil, it's a little weak. It was an inexpensive lesson, and I can use it on something else.

I have a surgically rebuilt heel after shattering it two years ago. A consequence of my injury is I can no longer work a wah pedal. After a TON of research, I'm going with a Source Audio Spectrum for the occasional wakka wakka needs

If that Doom pickup doesn't work out for you, I encourgae you to check out my soon-to-be-released Carondelet "Zealot." This is actually the first announcement about it. The official unveiling is this spring.

Sammy from Goatwhore brought over one of his ESP Stars with a Doom in it so we could A/B (both pickups are @20K and A8 driven). My Zealot delivered more low end, articulation, harmonics, and overall ambience/airiness.

Here's the prototype ... there are FOUR A8 magnets (custom ordered to my specs from my preferred foundry) charging those polished stainless steel blades

All the endorsement I need.

I do have other guitars that I could throw them in, one in mind is a Jackson Kelly pro from back in the day that I've been wanting to do something with.

I'll pick one or two up when they're available.

Eta

Or before

I’m good on big stuff like basses, amp, and cabs. Getting a bunch of strings, which I always need with four basses, and a new pedal

Mr Sushi is building me one as we speak.

This is what I really want for Christmas but I doubt I’ve been good enough this year.

I still need to try it myself but from the videos I've watched the amp models absolutely nail the tone and tube-like character of the different amps

Enjoy. I had one for about 6 months and sold it. Not because I didn't love it, but because it made me want to upgrade to the full Helix so I did. The Podgo is a great piece of gear. I suggest getting some 3rd party IRs. York Audio are my favorite and I've tried a lot of IRs.

Expect to spend some time tweaking. The factory presets aren't very good. You can download presets from Line6 custom tone and try them out, they are free. Have fun if you decide to pick one up. But, I would say for the cost, you won't find a better piece of music gear.

My lead guitar player just got a Helix. Sounds great and does about anything. Thing is huge. Had no idea they were that big. He pulled it out and I asked if he bought some Moog Taurus pedals or something.

This was more of a birthday present to myself, but I'll count it. Paired with Neural DSP plugins and it sounds like a dream.

A set of Meinl Byzance Extra Dry cymbals (16" Medium Thin hats, 22" Thin ride, 19" and 20" Thin crashes). The timbre is exactly what I've been wanting for a few years now, they don't overpower the mix even when I get a little heavy-handed, and the decay is very quick.

Thanks for telling me your experience with it. The cost vs versatility vs actual tone is the main reason I settled on this one. That and being able to load IRs was also something I really wanted to play around with.

Have you ever played the Line 6 Firehawk multi pedal? I wanted a multi that has a Mesa Boogie Mark series model, the Pod has the IV and it sounds spot on with the one I had, but I saw that the Firehawk has a IIC+ model which is pretty much what every Boogie fan wants to get their hands on. I haven't been able to find a single video with a playthrough of that model

Not getting anything. I'd love to buy another guitar, like Prs silver sky or a P90 Les Paul, but ain't got the money right now.
