Walterfootball has Jayden at 6 projected to go in rounds 2-4. I think he leaves in that case.

What's the deal with Hendon Hooker not getting as much draft love?

He's old, had a major knee injury which will likely prevent him from doing pre-draft workouts, and I'm sure plenty of scouts aren't convinced of his skill level playing in a gimmicky offense at UT when he was very average at Va Tech. He wasn't nearly as effective when they couldn't run their offense at warp speed

How can that be? He’s only the 3rd best QB on the LSU roster, right?

More and more NFL scouts want mobile QB’s for a chance to develop them, Jayden will get a chance somewhere.

He's going to look absolutely amazing at the combine. He'll be drafted on his measurables.

Eh, he'll look amazing in running drills, but I'm not so sure his arm talent in throwing drills will look amazing. He's basically a poor mans Lamar Jackson with a weaker arm. He's a good enough college QB, but I don't see any NFL team drafting him high enough to invest much money in him right now. This is honestly the only list I've seen with him anywhere near this high

Not even in the top 15 on yahoo (Lindsey Scott Jr is ) LINK

Not on the list on CBS LINK

#6 on Walter Football - second highest I've seen for him LINK

Not on PFFs big board LINK

Kiper is reaching with him at #5. IMO, he'd be a late day 2 pick at best.

As a Saints fan I love this list and hope it pans out this way.

Why?
Serious question. I’m a Saints fan too and hope we can get a good QB in the draft.

Hooker isn't high on the list because he is old enough to be all of those other QB's dad

Malik Willis was the first mobile QB taken last year. 3rd round, and he's looked BAD. He also has a much stronger arm than Daniels. matt Corral was also a 3rd round pick, also a much better thrower than Daniels

Trevor Lawrence was the first overall pick 2 years ago. I think it's safe to say he was infinitely better in college than Jayden in every aspect of his game. Justin Fields was also drafted in the first, but also has a much better arm and overall tools that Daniels.

NFL teams will draft mobile QBs high who not only can run, but also have either passed very well in college or have big arms they think can be developed into more consistent passers.

Daniels has average to below average NFL arm strength. He's small and has never lit the world on fire in the passing game in 4 years in college. NFL teams don't draft QBs whose game revolves around running and throwing underneath routes. They will draft mobile QBs high who also have big arms.

I just do not see Daniels game translating well to the NFL as it stands today. I don’t understand what these draft guys are seeing. Jayden needs to improve on his passing skills and reading defenses in a BIG way.

People act like QBs grow on trees. Nuss played good during a little bit of garbage time and everyone freaks out. He might be good but don’t talk to me until I see him go through a season grind. I’ve seen too many of the garbage time heroes in my time.

IMO, he's lighter on his feet, and a more elusive runner than Lamar with a higher top end speed.

He floats the deep ball too much, and he'll need a lot of development, but he can make it as a backup.

Again, Tim Tebow started for nearly 2 years. This is a QB hungry league.

ETA: I bet a lot of these mock drafts haven't been updated yet. The QB class is bad this year and was worse last year.

He’s gonna end up getting draft by the Saints. I can just feel it in my plums.
