There’s no shortage of 4x4 trucks in the catholic parking lot. Not sure what you guys think the demographics are over there but good ole boy will fit in fine.

Catholic players and parents like the coach from what I’m told. Not sure why you say he’s not a good fit.
and the Men's Club is fond of him.

every school he has left has been very upset to see him go.

The only complaint I hear that has teeth is the level of time commitment needed from the kids.. many seem broken down and tired when seasons over but that is also a big reason for the schools success.

I bet it is the same or similar for all teams that play after thanksgiving with regularity.

CHS HC, OC, DC officially moving over to the other CHS. Probably good for all parties involved.

Wow. Harvey isn’t wasting any time getting the train back on the tracks. I’m impressed.

Except Catholic who just lost one of the state’s best coaches.
Look I’m in Acadiana and have absolutely no dog in the hunt. I’m emotionally attached to none of the parties involved but when you can pull a perennial state championship contending coach it’s a win for you. Likewise when you lose said coach it’s a huge loss.
In no other sport does coaching matter as much as high school football.

Is he a perennial state title winning coach or was he handed a loaded roster in year 1? They are loaded again this year and failed to make state. I’ve been closer to the program than most and they went from an elite coach (who got busted I’ll admit) to a good coach. He was a fish out of water with the Parkview rah rah attitude and the lack of social media presence led to some talented kids getting underrecruited. I have faith they will pull a great coach who is a better cultural fit.

Should be a nice rejuvenation of a crosstown rivalry

Part of a high school coach’s job to get the film out there and the college coaches on campus for kids that might want to play college. For example the old coach had a combine in the summer with college scouts invited, put the film on social media, built in-state connections with FCS schools, etc. That all went away except for the 2 5 stars Emory Jones and Sampson who would get coverage regardless

He hasn’t been at Catholic nearly as long as you think he has.

But you bring up a good point. They need to get Fertitta back.

Simoneaux is one of the best people you’ll come across in this world. Unbelievable hire. Extremely happy for him
