That’s the exact opposite of what took place.

I’m not supposed to prove your argument. Like I said in the initial response, there’s nothing stopping you from looking up that info. You call that acting like a caged animal, more smear and dishonesty. Jesus you’re childish.

I never made an argument to you go back to the link

I legitimately asked a question about your stat because I thought that your argument was interesting and wanted to see more but you never provided context

And Instead of making a small effort to look that info up you launched into a smear campaign. And yes you’ve argued that point yet still haven’t bothered to gather a single data point in your favor. Seriously incredible.

What?

LSU was 4th in the SEC in points per game, points per drive, and points per play.

LSU had a good offense this year.

And 10th in yards per pass attempt.

So passing yards are more important than points to you?

You people always make these straw man arguments and it’s no wonder why. We averaged 27ppg vs the SEC and scored 23 vs FSU. Now if you think that’s a lot of points you just don’t know what you’re talking about. Elevating rent a win stats above the real schedule is an old and tired tactic from pumpers.

Because the defender’s arm was intertwined with Thomas’ other hand so he tried to catch it one handed. That wasn’t Daniels that threw that ball to Thomas though.

Did I say passing yards per play is more important than points? No I didn’t yet that straw man started the argument.

Other SEC teams have rent a wins too. So it's apples to apples.

What about Brian Kelly?

There isn’t a single running QB-oriented offense who have won the NC with the exception of Cam who was an anomaly, physical freak

Vince Young comes to mind too. But, I understand your point of view.

I prefer my O line to not force my QB to run for his life and my QN to be able to get the ball to his receivers and running backs before the pocket collapses

The idea that we have a bad o-line is a fallacy. JD held onto the ball longer than any other QB in the SEC this year

Yeah, I knew it wasn't Daniels that threw it because it was the 2nd half, but I didn't see the other hand get tangled and the announcers never mentioned anything about it. Makes sense. It was a good throw.

If he prefers his “QB to be a better runner than a better passer” then I’ll be happy to continue deferring to Malik.

All great QBs throw interceptions. It's part of the game. JD has thrown too few.
All you "Pro Passing QB" supporters should be ashamed of yourselves for hurting the sensitive feelings of the JD5 Jock Sniffer Brigade.

For Shame, For Shame.

How dare you all that want a Passing QB that can Read defenses, go through progressions, find open receivers and throw the ball into tight windows. (That might/might not be picked off)

Madking is trying to make an argument that an offense that won the west was terrible against SEC teams and is inflated by OOC games. He will give ppg for LSU vs SEC teams but also refuses to provide context of other SEC teams ppg in SEC games.
I wouldn't say this offense was terrible but it was definitely streaky.

I just can't see JD going pro, nor can I see BK sitting him next year unless he has zero improvement. So this is all moot

I'm going to hang back and hope JD can improve his anticipation a little and take a few more shots.

You don't need joe burrow to win if you have JDs legs, but you need more downfield threat at the very least.

You need a backup plan when defenses start spying 2 guys on 1

So, he should just graciously sacrifice and not tell the truth because his quarterback is scared to throw the ball? The ultimate “we” mentality is having faith in your teammates, that’s what Nussmeier does, JD should try it. You’re funny.

I stopped with Cam since he was the first I came to when looking at it historically and 11 years seemed to be a fair enough time block to be considered "current". But yeah acknowledged Vince and Tebow; so 3 in a 17 year span. All 3 were quite gifted athletes. I guess I can be more precise in my assessment and say that when you have an athlete at QB of their caliber, that style of offense can be successful enough to win a NC. Relative to LSU, I don't see Jayden's abilities and stature equating to those three individuals.
