You take him because you’ve already established the culture and standards of the program so it’s on the player to conform and perform or get out. He won’t come in as a 5 star high on his horse but just another guy fighting for a spot.

If you are a graduate transfer you can enter the portal and sign at any time. If your undergraduate it’s December 5 and I believe there’s a three week window to enter. You can sign any time out. The next time you can enter the portal I believe it’s 10 days to two weeks right after spring practice.

I was responding to someone who said that Gilbert had been rehabbed and he has not. And I agree totally different ends of the spectrum on issues.

Right, so then the locker room can see a coach dismiss a guy who made one mistake. Players don’t have the perspective as grown adults. They see a guy get dismissed from one mistake and then they feel there’s no trust.

The parking lot thing was dumb but he was driving with someone with a pound of weed on them. Not exactly 2 kids getting caught with a joint. There were also rumors that he was one of the ones smoking in the locker room before a game. Not saying that he cant be rehabilitated or he isn't a take but he has done things that are a bit beyond normal "young and dumb"

Yes, but not much. Would have got a lot more playing time if he hadn't had his issued.
