Fake sports teams are another fun road to go down. I had an old PC football game when I was a kid that let you create leagues and basically edit everything about the squad. I created my own college division, complete with the SCLSU Mud Dogs, UL Cougars, Texas State Armadillos, Texas Colts, and some of the lesser known ones from those movies like West Mississippi and Central Kentucky State.

Absolute brilliant show on HBO in the 80's, way ahead of its time. I say brilliant as well because they made the colors exactly like Steve Young and the original USFL's L.A. Express and able to use a lot of that footage in their show. No way the NFL would have given the show permission so it really was genius producing especially with the sex and cocaine aspect of North Dallas Forty and similar type shows wrapped into one.
