a CFP. Without a prior warmup game, LSU beats them.

Change my mind

FSU game has had zero effect on LSU as of right now. Were #5.

If we won that game and got blown out in the UT game and there were 4 undefeated P5 teams, we'd still be #5...

This is so whiny and cringe.

You guys are too soft. There was nothing sleazy about it. It's how scheduling goes.

Its LSU administration that allowed that to happen.

We're ranked #5. Exactly where we'd be if we'd beaten the noles.

that Duquesne game was effectively a scrimmage against a high school team. We were better off scrimmaging against ourselves.

Wouldn’t matter. We’d still be number 5 and we’d still have to beat Georgia. Nothing changes

Why are you convinced that if we beat FSU, we also only lose 1 other game to Tennessee.

Honestly the way that game played out it was a good thing for LSU. It was a wake up call. Reality check.

No, an ill prepared LSU team and the ability to do a small thing like block a PAT could cost them.

And no, I'm not here to change your mind. You want you mind changed, man up and do it yourself.

You act like LSU couldn't have played a full speed scrimmage against the many teams in South La for a warm up

Over the past 2 years only 12/32 teams that have played a week 0 game have won the following week. A week 0 game has almost no impact on the following week of play.

It’s LSU’s scheduling people that keep falling for the same thing every year.

Well then LSU should’ve scheduled a week 0 game. Either way, no excuses.

It is now irrelevant and almost helps in a way it shows the extraordinary improvement since that game. If we would’ve won that game the wins since have been better in the eyes of fans and analysts. The climb has been a dominant ascension. That loss has changed the perception of the 22 LSU Tigers.

Florida State owes LSU nothing. You play the team in front of you if you can’t beat them it’s your own fault. LSU was woefully bad that night playing a bunch of players that arnt even playing right now and turning the ball over multiple times. They also had no clue how to use Jayden till the game was almost over. That’s on coaching not because FSU beat up on some sap.

Or you could take the optimistic view that the loss was a spark that has ignited and propelled the team to where they are now: contending for an SEC title
