I listened to most of the interview he did on Joe Rogan. He’s got more wealth than he will ever know what to do with, small kids and interests outside of running a social media machine so it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

My guess is he got inspired by that movie 'ready player one' and thought he could replicate the VR world there with the metaverse.
Instead he sank billions into some bullshite nobody uses that has less entertainment and has less utility than frickin OG Runescape.

There will be plenty that want a fully immersive experience but it won’t be required. The fat bastards can sit in a chair with a controller like they do now.
