I use to like watching by myself still do to a degree - In 2008 was in Indy at a conference when we played Buckeyes - I was in the hotel lounge with 14 Ohio state fans - 1st half was painful being with them - by 4th quarter was all by myself I really enjoyed that time by myself

I used to find it annoying watching with my mom. She was a big Tiger fan - just out of LSU and holding season tickets in 1959. On each play that LSU was unsuccessful she would adopt an incredulous questioning attitude, and just at that moment when I was trying to control my disappointment.
I snapped at her more than once, saying "The other team is trying, too, mom." I wish I had the old girl back for a game or two.

Me too. I love watching LSU by myself. Hate all the talking and distractions when watching with a group.

Love going to the games and was there Saturday v. Bama and every other home game except 2 for the last 22 years. Before that I would make a couple home games a year. I can yell etc. and get all the nervous energy out of my system. But I really don't enjoy watching them on television. I actually prefer to do it with a lot of other people around b/c it distracts me from focusing on every single minute of the game.

I will admit that I really prefer to watch the games with my closest family or small group of LSU fans.
HOWEVER, there is a big benefit to watching with other people. I'm more relaxed and much less likely to be a baby about it if they lose.

Man I am with you on this one. No BS about other teams than who LSU is playing on that day. I always watch with my 15 year old die hard LSU fan my daughter and my wife. My son is at college now but he wasn’t as serious about it as we are. I had to always shush him when he started talking about other things. LOL

Yeah I do not like watching games with many only with a very select few.

I watched it while my wife's grandmother was visiting. She doesn't look at me the same way. But hey, my house, my TV, my team, my rules.

I am very similar. My wife wanted to have people over for the Auburn game. At first I was like that sounds great. But then when it hit me that it was Auburn on the road I knew where it would come to. Love our friends that were there but half way through the first half watching Daniels get sacked a few choice words were said loudly at the tv.
I moved to the outside tv with another guy and finished the game there.

Son was asleep and wife usually watches the games in the living room with me. This time for some reason she was doing other things and it irritated the hell out of me when she would pass through the living room.
At other times I'll have my Dad over and unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to watch with him because he wants to analyze every play. Have to accept it though because won't have him forever.

I watched the Tigahs and every pitch of the Astros world series on side by side TV's.
Couldn't pull that off at a party or bar like usual, too much going on.
To OP, yep sometimes watching a game alone is great.

I agree with what everyone one said...it is hard to watch with my wife because if the other team gets loose she screams git him git him ... she did the same thing at high school games when my kids were playing...we usually did not sit together because git him git him was very distracting

I watched it with 102,321 of my best friends
Well subtract the Bama fans.

I’m like this too but it’s with women. Most just don’t get it and I’d rather not watch big games with them. 2013 uga game was what did it for me. Game is back and forth coming down to the last possession and we were watching at a house party in college and all we heard the 2nd half were the women “ugghhhh when is this going to be over, when are we going to the bar???” Never again

i go to all the games and everyone that sits around me including the people that go with me know i focus on the game and talk is for halftime. if you break this rule, you wont be invited back to sit with me.

When my mom taught at LSU at the time, she thought it was a good idea to throw a party at the house and invite her students for the 2009 Ole Miss game lol. My dad and I were pissed because we weren’t going to be able to watch the game like we usually do. I was not happy with how the game was going but I was ok. When we lost the way we did with Les Miles telling Jordan Jefferson to spike it with one second on the clock, my dad and I lost our shite in front of everybody lol. My mom was not happy with us but that’s her fault for bringing strangers into our home.

I was watching with my Bama fan wife. She was way more nervous than I. I was I was proud that we played well and were in a great game. Wasn't even that nervous. Losing would have been disappointing, but I would have still been proud of the team, coaches, and fans. Winning, on the other hand, was glorious.
I divorced my bama wife so now it’s just me and my son. Lol. This weekend was glorious.

I usually like to watch the games by myself, but for this game we went to my daughter's house because it was my youngest grandson’s 17th birthday. Everyone was watching so intently that it was fine. When we scored in OT everyone roared. As we lined up for the 2pt conversion, my birthday boy started to leave the room. He said that he was too nervous. I talked him into staying, and we all exploded with joy. I told him now he has a memory for life. That you have to face life head on.....blah, blah, blah.
As the celebration starts to settle into warm afterglow, my wife, who is not a knowledgeable football fan, said, “why didn’t Alabama put someone over there?”

I almost always watch the Bama game alone. I just can’t be around other people for that game. It’s unlike any other game for me.
