This asinine defensive strategy needs to change. Adjust during the game or something. They're shooting the light south and we're still leaving them open

To me it’s amazing we let ANYONE at any point in any game get an open 3.

Sure I’m being a bit daft but frick me it’s a non stop thorn in our side, we just can’t get a fricking hand up or run people off the line. Why?!

How did I have a different take?

Saying that the team playing the nets was a mirage is true. That team was all world incredible.

I said this in the other thread:

This is somewhere around where I am, although slightly more frustrated.

Holding BI out as long as they did was really frustrating as a fan.

The offense looks pretty disjointed at times, Herb has been a bit off quite a lot, and Zion has just been flat out disappointing. His defense has regressed quite a lot, the energy he has had in the first game has just kind of evaporated into looking slightly out of shape again.

Hopefully they shake the rust off

Relatively negative…

We aren’t the team that shredded the nets. We are a .500 team

Right now. They can play better, they just aren’t.

Tonight IS bad. But it also is absolutely not how we've played defensively this season.

Similar effort vs. the Hawks and Lakers though. Warriors too really, they just turned it over a ton so we beat their B squad.

I think Indiana has done enough scouting to see how vulnerable we are when it comes to guarding the perimeter so their gameplan has been to just throw up as many 3's as possible.

I agree. I think Willie is being way too patient and doesn’t want to overreact and wants to see BI and CJ start leading again.

Bottom line is we have guys other than Zion playing like absolute dogshit on D, guys that played much better D last year. CJ, BI, JVal

I’m sorry, no doubt playing the lakers, clippers, g league warriors, depleted nets, really helped their defensive stats lol.

This is nothing like what you just said in this thread just a few minutes ago. it's obvious.

Our hard close outs and fighting screens on non shooters only to leave the real shooters open is ridiculous. It burned us against the Lakers, ATL, Dallas and tonight.

How hasn't this been fixed? Why is it so easy for teams to get these looks against us? It doesn't happened in non-pels games I watch

NO consistency, either offensively or defensively, by individuals and the entire team! Definitely not playing together!

Jose has been getting abused on defense tonight.

Now TJ McConnell is kicking our arse

Again, our defense will be above averages after this game. Nowhere near bottom 5.

My guy you can plug your ears and keep yelling this but the trend over the last 4 games is horrendous.

So many overreactors this early in the season. It's comedic.

I referenced this game and their previous three. Their defense has been bad during this recent stretch. Started off the season pretty good though to help the averages.
