John Ferguson and Walter Hill's 1972 Ole Miss buzzer beater call says hello.

It's out there on the internet. If you've never heard it, it's electric.

I like Blair, but you must not have heard his Auburn game calls. Everyone on here was saying something was wrong with him because he had zero emotion on the big plays in that game. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. With that said, his call on the game-winning play against Bama was awesome.

I dont think either are awesome. I mean they are good enough at what they do/did, but i prefer different “personality”/style

I have nothing against Hawthorne and Blair, but John Ferguson was my all time favorite. I guess it's because you listened to him on the radio because back in those days LSU was on TV only a couple of times per season.

I am so tired of this false bullshite. Hawthorne was spontaneous and sometimes early called plays but not like this tired trope.

He’s improved 1000% since he started here. He’s learning he can be a professional broadcaster AND a fan at the same time. Not quite to Jim’s level yet, but agreed, that was a great call. And ESPN kept using it in their game highlights.

I really like Fowler. Dude is a pro and very good across multiple sports. Someone posted him and Kirk chatting after the game on their flight and it was really cool.

Fowler and Kirk are easily the best announcer combo in the sport. Especially Fowler, he's a consummate pro at what he does with perfect timing. Emotion at the right time, calm voice at the right time, silent when the crowd noise needs to speak for itself, doesn't ham it up every play a la Gus Johnson or something. So glad we had them calling the game and didn't have to listen to Danielson. I like Nessler as the PBP but I can't stand Danielson as the color guy.

don’t like “Hey now”. Other than that, great call. The “Wowwwww” at the end was great.

Yeah what is with that bargain bin catch phrase?

I really don’t like the “touchdown fighting tigers” schtik. No one has done that and it sucks.
