I was shouting he better go for two after the score, I'm glad he learned from FSU. Compare the chances of this team winning in overtime or an entire game against Bama vs Jayden getting the ball into the endzone on a 2pt conversion with everything on the line. Its got to be something like 20% to 70% respectively. If he didn't go for it in that situation, he wouldn't be the right guy IMO.

It was necessary. We don't have a lot of depth.

Coaches aren't paid because they're data analysts, they're paid because they have a feel for the game as well. There's an art and science, sometimes you have to go with the feeling.

I thought it was crazy to go for 2 when CBK didn't try to win at the end of the 4Qt with 21 seconds left and 2 TOs.

After we scored on one play I thought damn the defense just got off the field. They would have been extremely gassed going right back out.

When Kelly decided to go for two I thought wow we have a coach that makes not just logical decisions but ballsy ones as well.

That decision made me go from liking BK to wanting to run through a fricking brick wall for him.

Bingo.

Momentum is monumental at that part of the game. When you're hot and they're hot, don't let them have the ball back again if you can prevent it.

Strategically with new OT rules LSU had no choice. The strategy of OT is to get an advantage over the other team they can’t respond to. LSU had them where we wanted them. Score game over.

Don't get refs a chance to influence the game.

This was really the main reason I was for it. Chances of Perkins et al. getting the sack of the game (or at least forcing another bad throw) seemed better than decent. BUT Chances of a PI and more no-calls of O holding were circa 90%.

If I recall the only O holding calls on Bama were meaningless. Whereas ours negated two big plays. That plus the tip and out of bounds nonsense and you just go for it on a high % play with momentum and a tired D.

So yes I loved it. Lol.

As soon as Daniels scored, I was hoping we go for 2. I felt better about our chances doing that than trying to grind out an OT victory

I was glad he did. I wanted to go for 2 against Florida State.

I loved it b/c he put faith his players to win on their terms. The defense kept us in the game early but we’re clearly getting worn down.

We win or lose with the ball in the best players on the fields’ hands in JD5.

I called for it after the score.

13 point underdog at home. Crowd going nuts.

Every team has one play they feel good about from the goal line. Use it.

I remember Jaylin Hurt Waltzing into the endzone with aid of two uncalled outrageous holds to beat us. Bama came from behind as time ran out. Chaulked another tide victory for the SEC refs.
Kelly is brilliant to realize you have to take the SEC refs out of the game too.

I thought we should have kicked but loved the 2 point conversion. Was good either way.

Bryce Young would have outlasted us and we couldn't lose another game on an extra point. Had to do it win or lose.

Defense had been off the field for maybe 2 minutes and was gassed, it was the correct call regardless of the outcome
