I believe this LSU team matches up better with Georgia than Tennessee. No defense has figured out a way to slow down the Vols and out scoring them hasn’t worked for anyone. But I will say, House wouldn’t surprise me if he came up with something that works.

Now that the BCS doesn’t exist, it’s more possible for us to see two SEC teams TENN and UGA in the CFP (legitimately, not like when BS BCS put bama in there against LSU after sitting out the SECCG…)
Where it gets weird this year is if we beat bama, ole miss loses to bama—LSU reaches SECCG due to tie breaker in the west and we play TENN or UGA and win, UGA could have one loss and not get into playoffs.
That’s all assuming we win out. Which I’m just very happy we can even talk about a POSSIBLE rematch with TENN given the state of the program and what I expected the 2022 season to look like

This season is a huge success if we get to the SECCG. I was hoping for a year that included glimmers of hope we are going in the right direction with the right hires. What they have put together with having nothing leftover is amazing.

+1. IMHO it's our ONLY low-percentage shot at the playoffs. Run the table and whip the team that stomped us earlier in the season in SEC championship game. However, if we do run the table and beat Georgia there would be a lot of merit in sending 1 loss Tenn. to the playoff over 2 loss LSU - especially since they won head-to-head in our house. That's the way it is in college football right now. Can't wait for playoff expansion..... Geaux Tigers!

I think GA beats Tenn and ends up in the championship game. UGA is elite on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

LSU scored 13 pts at home vs that terrible Tennessee defense. Alabama offense scored 42 on the road the following week. Don’t get your hopes up.

If Alabama plays them in the sec championship game they will beat them. Should have beat them at Tenn but 17 penalties killed them.
