We always stay in Mtn Village and take the Gondola down. Sometimes we end up having to hitch a ride back up depending on how late we stay. It's not that big of a haul.

With gear, and depending where you are staying in Telluride, it can certainly be a haul every morning to the bunny hills. Not terrible, but a good 20 minutes.
