I was wondering if anyone would post this. I remember watching this as a kid and liked it. Adding it to the watch list before Halloween.

I'm not a big horror fan, including werewolves, but I did enjoy American Werewolf in London.

An American Werewolf in London is not just the best werewolf film ever made, it’s probably in my top 10 films all-time. I love almost everything about it. And it’s John Landis’s best film, better than Animal House, Blues Brothers, Coming to America, Thriller, and even Beverly Hills Cop 3.
2nd on my list is The Howling. Not nearly as good as An American Werewolf in London as a stand alone film, it came out in the same year and has that similar, early 80s, Rick Baker effects-feel to it and the nostalgia probably biases me a bit.
I’ve always loved werewolf film more than any of the other monster movies, probably because of the impact AAWIL had on me. It came out when I was 3, and I swear my dad took me to see it in the theater. He gave no fricks. . Similarly, I was on the couch one Halloween season and caught The Howling having just started about 2 a.m. and had to finish it. My 3-year-old daughter comes waddling out into the living room about 15 minutes later and crawls up onto the couch with me. I told her it was a really scary movie and she should probably go back to bed. She said “nah.” I was into it and didn’t really look at her face until the 1st transformation and went to cover her eyes and she just moved my hand. Didn’t phase her a bit. I don’t know if she was just a bad arse 3-year-old or jaded by all the CGI she’d been exposed to. “This isn’t scary, Daddy. It’s old like Fraggle Rock,” which was just another show I had tried to recently share with her from my childhood that she turned her nose up at. Then she fell asleep. Wasn’t sure whether to be proud of her or ashamed of myself. Probably both.
I’d like to nominate a werewolf movie I discovered about 10 years ago on AMC that came on every October for like 5 straight years then disappeared—The Beast Must Die. I think I made a thread about this a long time ago. It’s a terrible movie really, but I can’t help but love it. Mid 70s mix between monster camp and werewolf blacksploitation. Terrible acting, but they somehow managed to wrangle Peter Cushing into joining the cast. No idea how to find it, but if you like werewolf movies, I’d seek it out.

You should check out a little Aussie film called Walkabout and thank me later. Well, if you fell in love with her then, chances are you already have. The rest of you should check out a little Aussie film called Walkabout and thank me later.

Was Wolfen about werewolves? It's been a while, but I remember that more about just some kind of evil straight up wolf.

I was so surprised by this movie!! It was sooooo freaking good. I'm HUGE on practical effects and this movie really knocks it outta the park.
