Fixating on Brian Kelly being the problem

Give it a rest, corndogs.
I love when our fans compare Brian Kelly to les miles. Remember when les miles inherited a Maserati while Kelly inherited a 93 Kia sedan?
In what world do some of you idiots fairly and equally compare professionals in their time and place? Lmao
I’m not saying Brian Kelly is above reproach. But we are in the toughest conference in the country with 39 scholarship players in January. Our starting running back was a walk on, and our quarterback left his previous school because the locker room hated him.
Polian, Kelly, and denbrock deserve shite but amazed I have heard hardly anyone give the guys at least one fricking year to fix this

And yes, we aren’t good. Agreed.
Okay? No shite. Ed orgeron left us a dumpster fire. Tennessee is actually pretty damn good.

Agree 100%. It’s time to step back and rationally look at the big picture…which is a lot to ask on here. This year had 6-8 wins written all over it from day one. Did everyone forget the last two years? LSU had a culture problem, talent problem, and leadership problem. A mountain that tall will take a bit to climb.

False narrative. We were 5th in talent composite in 2021.

Special teams sucking and the offensive scheme and execution being a joke have very little to with the mess O left us in.
What Kelly is putting out there on offense via Denbrock and daniels is a huge red flag, as is his refusal to admit that he’s made a mistake and there are systemic problems with his approach. It’s very Les. Very Jimbo. If you don’t see that your head is in the sand.
Devising a good offense in cfb is not a years long process for good offensive minds. Look at what Riley, Kiffin, Heupel, Dykes, Kiffin, Sark, Briles do everywhere they go. It can take awhile for these offenses to hit final form, but you see good execution and good scheming from day one. It’s shocking to me that with 10 years of Les more of you are trying to downplay this.

The worst decision(and there were a couple) Kelly made today in my opinion is not putting one of the other quarterbacks in the game in a friendly environment when it was obvious that there would be no comeback. Why not get one of the other quarterbacks game reps when there’s nothing to lose.
What if Daniels goes down? You going to throw Nuss out there @Fla, ole miss, Bama, @Arky and @A&M to break him in when the environments aren’t so friendly having no meaningful game reps to speak of?

Amount of players has nothing to do with not playing Harold Pekins. It has nothing to do with how atrocious we are in special teams. It has nothing to do with our lack of a passing game.
These are all direct coaching decisions. No one minds losing that game but getting 40 dropped on you and not playing your best defensive player?
Your telling me you felt good about the 4th and 10 at midfield?
It's not that we lost, It's how and why we lost.
Didn't Tennessee have a crazy mass exodus after Pruitt year before last?
Quickly someone tell Heupel to bench his best defensive player and start going for retarded fourth downs

My opinion- This is roster ridden ‘portal team’ with a bunch of guys looking for that Joe Burrow magic. But truth be told, Joe was a statistical outlier.
That said, I’m concerned with Coach Kelly and his staff. Obviously they are having issues but the way he was arguing with one of them (on national TV) was unprofessional. You praise in public and discipline behind closed doors.
It does appear the lack of a National Championship at Notre Dame during the 12 years he was there was more a result of his coaching, than the availability of quality players who can academically qualify for admission at ND.

If the guys in the locker room hated JD, why grab him out the portal? I'm sure the WR's in our locker room hate him too. LOL
For real tho, JD is a major issue for our offense. He throws high, causing receivers to leave their feet thus creating no YAC. He throws behind them whenever they run crossing routes. Also, he RARELY keeps the ball inbounds when throwing down the sideline. He said he knows he can make all the throws, he just needs to be more aggressive. However, I really don't think he CAN make those throws. Milroy has played in every game for Bama this year, no matter how limited the playing time. Nuss should've played in every game for us as well. JD is not setting the world on fire from the QB position. 7 TD's in 6 games is bad. I think everyone knows we have more losses coming, let's play Nuss more. JD can start and garner the majority of snaps but let's consistently see 2 or 3 series of Nuss per game.

The irony is that this is the same results-oriented thinking that people defended miles on for 10+ years.
Nobody thought this was a team in contention for the West or a playoff spot or anything.
However, the team has shown some major issues from a coaching/scheme perspective, which are worrisome and have nothing to do with the talent. Part of those issues is a similar offensive philosophy to Miles, which Kelly displayed at ND almost his entire career there, and is a major issue moving forward.

Good to see this post with way more upvotes than down. So many are ridiculous with expectations. Im happy with much of what I have seen. Culture change. In game coaching from the top. Impressive half time adjustments. Recruiting. And so on. Those were the things I needed to see to feel good about this season.
Chicken littles need to step back from the ledge and realize WHY we signed Kelly to a 10 year deal. Rome wasn’t built in a day. The ascent can be just as fun as the top of the mountain.

It's O's fault.
We also have a crap fanbase. This wasn't a road game for the Vols

Well Polian has now cost us two games and Denbrock managed to do something even cam Cameron couldn’t achieve by having 5 passing yards in a half.
Kelly is here for the long haul and I believe he will fix the issues with the program. However the bbq buddies will need to go.

Last years produce is better than this.

Comparing us to anything other a rebuilding program is ludicrous. Look at Tennessee’s record over the past 5 years. Look at anyone in the SEC with the exception of Alabama and Georgia. There will be ups and downs. What we can work towards this year is buying into his system and limiting the mental mistakes. Talent is only great when it’s coached right.

He is not the problem.
Its above him.
Why was Orgeron paid so much for him to leave? He smiled going out the door, still talking about his friend Woodward.
Why and who hired Pelini?
Why was Daniels brought in from across the country?
Why are Shills on here still defending every move Kelly/Daniels makes.
Why did new posters show up attacking Wade, a few weeks before he was fired, then disappear as soon as he was fired.
I think the term is "greasing the skids".
When folks "sports writers" make their living off LSU they have to play the game. They lose access.

Agree, except what he inherited was more like a totaled Maserati that was pulled out of a river then had the parts looted at the tow yard.
Add in a couple of bad assistants and it’s a struggle this year.

We fired a coach who gave us the greatest team of all time less than 2 years after a National Championship. Our fans have set the standard of win every year or GTFO.

Please quit. Stop being logical. LSU should win the national championship every single year in every sport or every coach should be fired on the spot.

Gotta give Kelly 3 years at least
