perhaps he chose the quarterback with the best ball security,

A conservative offense is as good as a forfeit in modern football. Might as well run the wing-T.

If you're playing to win you don't play conservative and playing for "ball security" is how you get a shitty offense.

Part of the agreement during his recruitment was that him and his dad wanted to redshirt the first year.

I'm not sure it could be any worse with Nuss. Daniels can't get the ball down field. I'm disappointed in his development. Of course our O line isn't very good and remembering we had just 39 players on our team at the end of last season. It will take at least two more classes to refill. And you don't win big in this league without a stud QB. I do trust BK and we will see.

With our O Line it doesn't matter......we can't run or pass behind that.....

100% agree, at this point it is very obvious he was promised the starting job!

Oh after we passed up points?

Yes, after he drove the team down the field and the stupid coaches didn't try to get the 0 off the board.

Man, Our defense got destroyed today. Secondary is struggling, tackling is a major issue, besides BJ.. who gets consistent pressure?

Our offense couldn’t block, couldn’t catch, couldn’t run. Every time we got ahead, we committed a penalty that set us behind the chains.

Special teams again is a big issue. This was a total team loss

QB wasn't great, but was far from the issue today.
Bullseye is on Kelly today. He panicked today because he knew TN was a much better team. He was correct

My question is does it really matter if you loose 40-13 or 50-7? I don’t see there being a huge drop off

The Dippin Dots line was pretty short in the SEZ. That was nice.

Not necessarily. They both have different glaring inefficiencies. If you can’t run away from trouble as the QB behind this line you are a sitting duck on every passing play

it was such a “close QB race” why not give nuss a chance to make something happen.

Kelly wants Nuss to transfer. He definitely doesn’t want Nuss showing up Daniels

Every opportunity Nuss has had, he’s looked absolutely horrific

You're right because a RS FR can't improve but a starter in his 4th yr is suddenly going to figure out how to read a defense and make timing throws.

Does he really though? I'm not sure where this came from. At ND he had consistently mediocre QB play.

I mean, let’s recap the game.

Retarded decision to go for it on 4th and 4. Retarded decision to go for it on 4th and 2. Retarded decision to go for it on 4th and 10.

Score at half: 23-7 due to 3 retarded game management situations, instead of 13-7 Tennessee or 14-13 LSU if Jaray Jenkins doesn’t drop a TD.

And that’s not even taking into account the initial fumble or the added momentum that we gave Tenn by not kicking and making the score 10-3 early in the first half.

Game was 23-7 at half and every single phase except maybe the defense had failed, including coaching in every facet.

This was not a Jayden Daniels loss. This was a gameplan loss, a preparation loss, and a gameday management loss.

Also, Idk if you have ever watched the guy, the 5-7 games he has gotten the opportunity, Nuss fricking sucks. He turns the ball over constantly and he doesn’t make up for it with big plays, his legs, his leadership or anything.

Jayden ain’t great, but he also isn’t the reason we lost by 27. It was a total team and mostly coaching staff loss.
