he should be hitting Nabers here (as in ball should already be hitting Malik in the 8 right about this point):
hit him in stride and it's a bigger play than just the 5-6 yards he would have gotten in your pic.

If you want to pick nits about the route tree, it would have been more effective to have Lacey (I believe that is him on the upper hash) to run a clearing pattern, leaving Nabors to continue a shallow drag across the middle and be able to receive the ball for YAC. This was a staple of the '19 offense. This works only of course if Auburn is in man (which they are) and they didnt disguise that pre-snap. Without knowing the offense, Lacey may have indeed been assigned an option route, and should have done exactly that.
Regardless, Nabors is the obvious option here once he sits down.
