Why are guns a right in the Constitution but not affordable housing?

There are debates surrounding if guns or abortion should be rights but no one is rallying to end homelessness constitutionally. Why is that? Don’t give me shite like the government doesn’t care, citizens can make the government care. Don’t give me administration vs. administration, the housing crisis includes everyone.

The constitution guarantees the right to own a gun. It does not guarantee you a gun. Housing is similar.
If the constitution guaranteed the right to affordable guns then you might have had some point to make.

you have a God given right to defend yourself and your family.
you do not have a Right to be "taken care of" by the government.
That is the difference.

“Housing” is not a crisis.
Drug abuse and untreated mental illness is a crisis. Everyone else who is homeless got there on their own.

Unaffordable housing is not the primary driver of homelessness. Start with addressing mental illness and drug addiction.

There are plenty of countries who do not have gun issues like America. I guess mass shootings are a god given right as well?

Most homeless people are living on their own terms. Individualism is the paramount factor of American society and culture.

It’s a choice.
In a place like San Fran you can live in a tent and get cash and food stamps.
Maybe those are the smart ones. Literally no responsibility. Don’t have to work and do whatever they want with beautiful California has their playground, and shite box.

Because when our forefathers drafted the Constitution, lazy pieces of shite who didn't want to work and fathered/mothered many bastard children starved to death and there was no need to house them.

There is no debate, guns are a right mentioned in the Constitution, abortion is not. Neither is housing, you want a house? Get a fricking job and buy one like the rest of us do.
It's not my responsibility to provide your housing. Grow up

Because you have no idea what our Constitution. The Constitution doesn't grant rights. It only grants restrictions on the government. That is it. The Constitution doesn't grant "affordable guns" anymore than "affordable housing". It also doesn't restrict one from obtaining a firearm, just as it doesn't restrict one from obtaining property.
So really what you are arguing is apples and oranges. And you seem to have a very uneducated view of Constitutional law. Which is sad, because my 8 year old son already understands all these concepts, that you can't seem to grasp.

Why are millions flooding across our southern border? These people are also jobless and homeless.

there was a plentiful supply of affordable housing when the constitution was written
but this is going to culminate in discussion of why you are drawing narrative from the constitution when you would most likely be willing to completely discard it.
In between there is a history of funding being used for your concern... funding enough fora dozen CITIES full of 'affordable housing'
turns out the government is as bad at this as they are at any social problem
Your challenge is to formulate a way to provide 'affordable housing' that works, doesnt cost 50 trillion, and doesnt fall into the hands of gang warlords enabled by your side

The third amendment states that we have the right to deny soldiers in our homes, what the point if we dont have homes or guns?
Posted on 10/5/22 at 7:24 am to FredBear
The military will give you a gun for free and an all expense trip to suicide

Way to ignore the most solid point.

Why can’t we constitutionally end hurt feelings?????
Posted on 10/5/22 at 7:25 am to 225life
Then you should take advantage of that. It would be no great loss
