I have levelized with Demco but the last bill we got was the highest we've had in about 10 years at this house. Nat Gas prices have come down some too

After fuel cost adjustments, what do y'all pay per kw/h? In my part of Florida, we're up to ~11 cents range, just for the power, monthly member fee and taxes, etc not included.

331.73 from cleco. Was 390 last month. I turned my ACs up to 75 from 74 and it dropped. Maybe not the only factor that contributed but I’ll take it.

Dk what yours was but my last three are as follows: real OT baller status

June $855.00
July $732.00
August $638.00

After calling Cleco I got a weatherzation survey done last week and hopefully after the Improvements they did and suggested I can get this bill under $500. First summer back in Louisiana after being in Dallas (2015 construction 3800 sqft never had a bill over $450 with 3-3 ton units) for the last 4 years. A little back ground the house we bought is almost 100 years old with an older 4 ton and brand new 2 ton cooling 2300 sqft.

2600 sq feet. We’ve had two years straight of paying GA Power $400ish during August/September.

Before that, above $300 was the what I’d consider “high”.

I’m in Massachusetts and they just announced that our supplier, National Grid, is raising their electricity rates by **60%**

Idk what y'all are doing to run up your bills so high. Mine is $180 for a 2000Sqft house with the AC at 68° all night. Mine has never been over $250.

Clean your outside AC coils and change inside AC filter both regularly. Your HVAC system will be more efficient and components will last longer as well. Put a reminder on your phone. Your system don’t need the super expensive filters unless you need them. Just use a hose to clean dirt away from outside system but just be careful you don’t damage the fins. Just get any dead cut grass or leaves off them.

I just figured out our costs and mid August to Mid September was lot hotter last year than this. We've not had to use AC since early September; having lots of trees to the west helps. Being on a hill top for breezes also helps.
And we pay a lot less per KWH.

Something to think about if you decide to move north of the Lake. In my case to east TN.
