Anyone been to Las Vegas recently and recommend a hotel on the strip that is not too expensive, good atmosphere, etc.? Any good shows or attractions to consider?

We stayed at the Venetian in June and loved it. I was impressed with Park MGM. Non Smoking and they have Eataly.

I paid $65 to stay at the LINQ for one night two weeks ago. Bought it on Priceline.

One thing to watch out for is that a lot of casinos charge a daily rate to park your car in their parking deck. Most of them charge $20 a day.

I use the Luxor as a reasonably priced, decent place to stay.

Stayed at NYNY once and thought it was a little run down.

TI is not bad for the right price, and it has a great location.

Depends on how close you want to be to the center of the strip. You could stay at Ballys or Harrahs for pretty cheap but could pay a little more and stay somewhere like Aria. We went not long ago and went to the Mad Apple show at NYNY and we really liked it

Mirage!

Old, but perfect location.

I was there at this time last year and stayed at Caesar’s which is my favorite along with the Venetian.

The NYNY is usually reasonably priced and in a good spot

Good luck with that

Everyone in Vegas is looking for that deal and it shows. Place like Caesar’s palace use to be pretty good but it basically looks like a crowded wal mart in there now. That pretty much goes for the entirety of the main strip. If you don’t mind being in the middle of the chaos I guess something like the cosmopolitan would be the closest middle ground to what you are looking for.

But the new places at the end like resort world and encore feel like and entirely different city. This area plus a little mix of old Vegas feels like the way to do Vegas now

I am going in a month and staying at Wynn for the weekend but looking for a place on Friday. Might switch it up and stay on Freemont for that night. Any recs for that area?

The wife (no pics) and I stayed at the Mirage this past May and it was okay. Just bring your most comfortable walking shoes because no matter where you stay in Vegas you're going to do a lot of that

Park MGM is probably your best bet as recently renovated and walking distance to Aria and Cosmo.
