You take a stand and just adopt the hyphen between the two? Is hers first or yours?

Everyone could just keep their own names.

I've noticed that a lot of English soccer players have hyphenated last names. I've always wondered what happens when that person gets married. If Emile Smith-Rowe marries Susie Jones-Carter, do they take one of the 4 last names? Do they go with 4 hyphenated names? Or do they just keep their own names?
