That list is pure bullshite.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Is currently nickle and diming people to death with fees. You have to pay a fee just to book a hotel room. Not a cleaning fee or entertainment tax, just a fee fee.

My happiest vacation destination is to get a condo on lake ouchita. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful and not overly expensive. Hot Springs is a fun little town too.

Now there are more fun and cooler places to visit. But those are also crowded, or very expensive. For me, happiest is a place that is not stressful, not busy, relaxed and doesn’t break the bank. Doesn’t have to be a popular destination.

I guess Mexico and the Caribbean are not North America. I can think of 10 places down there better than that whole list.

Exactly!

When the Mob ran Vegas, it was THE place to go. Cheap hotels. Lavish buffets for $2.00 per person. Free drinks. Shows that were fantastic. Just keep gambling.

Now it's Disneyland for adults. Overpriced. Cheapened down everything.

Give it back to the Mob.

New Orleans make perfect sense here. People just visiting probably think its amazing since they don't have to deal with all the bs that locals deal with. Just party for a few days then leave

I don't see Vegas as overly happy though

Halifax, Nova Scotia has god awful weather most of the year, including it on a list of top travel destinations is laughable.
Summers are amazing though. I've been up in St. Johns's most of the summer its incredible. No way I'd ever want to be here during the winter though

I was in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland earlier this summer. If you can’t be happy in those places, you can’t be happy. Friendly, welcoming people and beautiful scenery.

With just a couple of exceptions that is the exact opposite of the Happiest.
