I’m looking at the 3/4 as well and am close to settling on an insinkerator as well. From everything I’ve seen it’s a very manageable DIY project for a mildly handy person like myself.
Anything I should be mindful of when replacing it? I’m not exactly Mr. Fix it but I can follow directions and have done basic repairs around the house.

Remember to punch out the dishwasher drainage hole before installing. Made that mistake once
