Sorry to interrupt y'all's pearl clutching, but I too was there and many of the players I saw kneeling hail from other countries. Four from England, one each from Ghana, Sweden, Iceland, and one from New York. It's an international team.

That’s what I don’t get. The head coach and several assistants are foreigners, but they kneel for our anthem? They should appreciate the fact of what our country stands for more than most Americans who may take it for granted.
I agree that the subject is old and the soccer team is just following Rapinoe’s lead. But for a sport in the South that is trying to get a toe hold and grow, having foreigners kneel for our anthem is not a good look.

That makes it better? So they're guests here and choose to disrespect their host?
