There is no reason to pin the starter down until you start game planning. Thats the question we should be asking. In my opinion Probably game plan a week week and a half before the game. For opening game against a quality opponent anyway. So a starter will be selected by next week.

I think it’s be ideal if they could make that decision but if it’s not in the best interest of the team, they’ll wait.
We have some cake walk games early to get some of the kinks worked out.
That said, I have a feeling it’s going to be Daniels for several reasons. The concern I have with Daniels is that he is a mobile qb who has never played against the type of talent he’s going to see in the SEC and no practice or scrimmage will totally prepare him. Coaches won’t really know what they got until several games in. Can he take a hit from a 6’2” 240 lb that runs a 4.5?
Can he avoid the hit from same? They won’t know that from practice.
But I wait. And have hope
