The possible scenarios that are playing out at QB

Yes, one more QB thread. However, I’m not going to argue who should be the starter, but rather examine the scenarios that have been in the minds of fans. What’s your thoughts? (Mine at the bottom)
A) This is exactly like the coaching staff has stated publicly, that it’s a tight competition between all the QBs. And they don’t know yet, but will soon.
B) The recent media narrative is that it’s really a 2 QB race between JD and Nuss. While Brennan has fallen behind to 3rd string, but doesn’t seem to care.
C) Brennan, as the old guy is leading as the starter because he is that good. It’s his job to lose, and JD and Nuss are battling for the #2 spot.
D) Some combination of any of the above
A- I don’t think many of us truly believe this. At best it’s a 3 QB race, as I think we’ve concluded Howard will redshirt. I do have a hard time believing the staff doesn’t at least have an idea who is leading this team.
B- This is certainly possible, and with the recent media reports it makes sense. However, there are a couple things that make it questionable. First, I take Denbrock’s presser where he discussed JD’s footwork. Certainly leads one to think he is going to need more time before he’s ready, no? Denbrock also mentioned that they wanted the guy that can run the offense, read a defense and be able to check plays, and doesn’t turn the ball over. I have no idea who that is, but I bet the staff does. Also, Brennan being okay with losing the job, and regulated to 3rd string is an interesting take. Why come back for this when he could’ve transferred? Which brings us to…
C- I believe Brennan is good and a starter on a lot of teams. He came back to start, I don’t think that’s a question. But I also think that JD and Nuss are good enough to start as well. JD actually has the most starts. He’s improving his accuracy and is extremely dangerous running the ball. I believe Nuss has that “it factor” like Burrow had, and from what we saw last year he makes some exciting plays. If either have progressed enough to pass Brennan, then either way we’re going to see excellent QB play this season.

According to every media member that's been at practice, the 2 guys in the mix to start are Nuss and Daniels. I think we will know a lot more next week

He didn't transfer because the NIL opportunities are here and not Hattiesburg. He has never had any passion for the sport and it bothers y'all way more then him that he is 3rd string. The way the fan boys are hurting he will probably be even more popular if he stays on the bench. Which in turn means more money.

The starter will be named this week.

nah
In his mind, he wanted to start and saw an opportunity.
However, wanting it and really being willing to do what it takes to get it are two different things.

There will only be one scenario that plays out out. Nuss will be the starter. As it's not even close. He is a much better QB relative to Daniels.
He just didn't get a chance to show us what he can do this past week, to his and Brian Kelly's disappointment, but he will in next Wednesday's scrimmage.

The only way I see this, is of his arm injury was way worse than anyone was told. It's certainly believable considering the 10" scar on his bicep.

Oh look, another needed QB thread

What’s crazy is that this might actually be true

This is exactly what I thought too, but I asked my friend who’s a dr at OLOL and he said sometimes that’s just what scar tissue looks like depending on the person and how it heals

The best player for the team will start. That is the ONLY scenario. Anyone that wants different isn't a fan of the team, but of individual players - for whatever reason.

Right, but from what we've been told, he fell and the next day it hurt so he drove back and that's when they found out it was broke. Either Brennan has a huge pain tolerance or someone is lying.
Most surgeries don't even have a scar that big.

He probably didn't want to go to the ER if he was fairly intoxicated
Posted on 8/13/22 at 11:08 pm to NicotineFree2022
Why? He wasn't driving and he's not a minor. This is dumb
Posted on 8/13/22 at 11:28 pm to Fishhead
He might've been thinking that it would reflect poorly on him if he showed up hammered to the ER at 3am with a broken arm. I have no idea what happened and this is pure speculation, I'm just telling you how I would feel if I was in his shoes

Why don’t you take your Myles Brennan goggles off and read what I wrote. I literally said I have no idea what happened and this is pure speculation, I'm just telling you how I would feel if I was in his shoes

Only you didn't.
Just leave it to the coaches.

Saying it with the utmost certainty doesn't sound like speculation. Look, I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything and I have no dog in this hunt but don't pretend you didn't say things that you know you said. I trust the coaches to put out the best QB. Leave it at that
You might the lowest IQ poster on this board. When I was commenting about “pure speculation” I was referring to my comments made in this thread, regarding what happened with Myles breaking his arm. I thought that was fairly obvious to anyone with basic reading comprehension skills

You pulled comments that I made in another thread that have absolutely nothing to do with what I’m talking about here and tried to act like you caught my hand in the cookie jar, and then you deleted your post
