Max did a good job for us in 2020, but regressed last year. I don't blame it all on him because of our O-line struggles and Peetz' poor play calling. He is a tough QB who could do fine with the right situation and coaching, but he definitely didn't have the IT factor last year and his longball was really poor and inaccurate. He would need to improve that tremendously to have the IT factor. He also held on to the ball way too long last year.

He has time to improve but while at LSU he could only make a couple of throws consistently and when defenses figured that out he was exposed and ineffective.

we’ve only had 3 quarterbacks NOT regress while here in the last 15 years.
i’m sure is purely coincidental that all 3 were transfers.
