I’d be surprised if he did, but that’s gotta be a paycut from what he could get NIL and it’s not like he’s on a fast track for MLB

He will likely get picked up a little before that. Probably get somewhere around $500-800K. He will be gone. No reason not to take it. He did what he needed to do at LSU and he deserves to get some money and give it a shot at the next level.

I think your thought process of what these kids are getting NIL is really off if you think $450K would be a pay cut of what he could make in NIL.

Players that I think you could see NIL be a part of the decision is guys like Travinski, Milazzo, Cooper, and Jobert.

Travenskis shirt is cool, but those guys have half the value combined of Morgan or Tommy White.

Anderson had injury back in 22 season so he should be ready to roll in 24
he missed his 23 season - senior year

Those projected numbers put things in perspective for the top HS recruits.

Johnson isn't passing up a $2 million bonus. Never really expected a LHP throwing 98 mph to end up on campus anyway.

That isn't quite how it works though. Being that Travinski, Milazzo, and Jobert draft position will be lower, it will be more realistic for NIL to help them pass the draft.

Morgan getting $450K next season plus the money he would lose in next years draft from losing all his leverage in NIL money is not realistic. Your thought process on how the draft and NIL works is just off.

You have a misunderstanding of the amount of money the baseball players are getting from NIL.

Morgan is gone

93. LHP Jake Brown - $725,300
105. SS Stephen Milam - $640,300

Depending on a player's situation, they are not getting all that, especially with an agent involved. That's not life changing money, bet on yourself and get 1st rd money in 2-3 years playing at LSU.

Are any of those names mentioned day one impacts like Kling, Jared Jones, and Brady Neal were? Not as tied in to this class as I was last year.

i think brown will have bigger impact than guidry did this year. like guidry, legit 2 way player who will focus on pitching.

anderson is another that could contribute on the mound but its going to depend on if he continues to progress after the TJ.

I am extremely high on both of them long run, extremely. brown...i think he can be a legit 95-96 consistant guy from left side once he gets time in the lab and more time to fill out. he is a great great prospect imo and great leader in the same vain as guidry.

Reason why other than just having SEC experience? Stats don't really jump out at you as someone who is dominant.

Just to be clear....that isn't a sarcastic type question. I'm asking. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another if they go after him. Would be good bullpen depth.

thisnis where I winder if we can get these guys in.

not that we pay them 725,000 but we say “hey come to campus, work 2-3 years, make a little NIL money and try and get that 4-5 million in a few years.

640k is a lot of money but if things don’t work out that could be all the money you make off baseball plus a shitty MILb salary. maximizing your signing bonus needs to be a priority.

Any chance Pearson gives 2nd a go? Doesn't he have some infield experience? I think that could have the same impact as Dugas to 2nd. It's a whole lot easier to put bats in the outfield.
