After my initial anger subsided I see this as working to our good. Martyrs are not easily defeated, they inspire and live on even when they are no more.
My view: The democrats have just made a big mistake. Even if they find (aka plant) something it will not be believed. They just created a martyr, and for all I know Trump might actually want this. His response appears like a man who knew it was coming. I don't think he is some kind of genius, but he is not a fool either. If I was in his position I would have been prepared for something like this, and would be ready to milk for all it is worth.

I disagree, this only rallies his supporters around him, even people who were growing tired of him, etc.
