Based on previous performance, and the fact that he has not won the job outright at this point, gives me little faith in being a +5 win team with him as the starter. Stats are admirable, but W’s weren’t there. I think our best hope is Nuss winning trust in fall camp, and taking the job pre FSU.

did you see the defense during his whopping 3 starts?

U-High probably could have done a better job at stopping people.

As far as your first post, you’re not off to a good start….
Also previous performance was 1100 yards 11 TDs and 3 INTs so not really bad at all.
Must be an alter.

Worst defense in school history by a full TD per game. Not sure you realize how bad that is.

Nussmeir isn't winning anything, he has two veteran QBs in front of him that are much better than him throwing the ball. Also, he has a young talented frosh QB behind him that will pressure him for the starting position in the future. So, the better question for me anyways is why hasn't he transferred already?

Da fuq you think this is ? Baseball?

Only 24 hour sports networks bother to talk about wins in any sport other than baseball. It’s food for dullards.

22 players on the field - on every play baw.

When you post over 38 pts per game and go 1-2 over those 3 games the problem was not the QB/offense...

If fact if you factor in a pedestrian defensive effort of allowing around 20 ppg then the offensive production might have been 45+ ppg due to more TOP.

What’s Nuss’s win record?

Has he thrown over 10 passes in A win ever?

Brennan should have been 2-1 as a starter at least. If we didn’t have the worst defense of the last 20 years. We beat Arkansas last year with Brennan starting.

Walker Howard starting is no doubt the worst case scenario, unless he blows everybody out of the water from the outset, and is too good to not play, but from what we are hearing, that is not the case.

If Brennan started, it means he is good enough to hold down the job as an experienced veteran, while the two young guys wait, and continue to get acclimated to the college game. Then they can compete for the starting job the following season. To me, that sounds like the best case scenario.

These posts are so stupid. Coaches will start whoever they think gives LSU the best chance to win. I don’t get why so many people on this board have already made up their mind who the best QB is.

Are you serious? He passed for more yards in his first 3 starts than any quarterback in LSU history. There were alot more issues with the 2020 team than the quarterback not leading us to wins.

Yeah because Matt Stanford really shouldn’t have been given the job in LA because of his stats in Detroit. Really dumb move by the Rams.

Brennan killed it in the 4 games he played.

The defense could not stop anyone in those games.
