All of these people recommending Salt are crazy. Its corrosive. It's especially awful for heaters.

We did a UV system with a chlorinator and its easy as could be. Minimal chlorine used and UV kills all the germs. Ours is similar in size. Plus about 8 ft for tanning ledge. 9 ft in deep end and a separate spa. We have a gas heater (pentair) and a chiller. Chiller is glacier brand and runs on electricty. We used pentair for everything except chiller. The chiller is sized up to 30k gallons and it works well. Its kinda noisy though just fyi. Consider that when placing equipment and its HUGE. Make sure your equipment pad can handle it. We did fully automated valves and can run everything from an app. Though most of it is on timers. Variable pentair pumps x 2. LEDs x 5. One thing I spent a little on that I don't particularly find worth it was ledge loungers. They move too much and the robot can't clean in the shallow tanning ledge around them. They're hard to get in and out of. The robot we have is awesome. It even scrubs the waterline tile. It's electric and husband was aggravated to have a cord running across deck to outlet, but it does such a good job. Its a pentair prowler. After running it a couple times he got over the cord. We added tons of concrete around which by the time they form and pour is not significantly expensive and well worth it to us. No diving boards and no slides. Not much I wish we had done different. Was VERY expensive, but I'm not doing it again and I wasn't trying to scrimp just to be able to afford it all together. Also we put several umbrella holders all over our tanning ledge for different configurations and we really like that. We get a ton of sun and like to move the umbrellas all over as it moves. Did not add anything to cost.

Any pictures of your setup. We’ll be doing a pool at the house we’re building and I’m trying to figure out how much decking I want. We’ll have a 15 x 35 which includes the tanning ledge.

You think chlorine is any better? Assuming it’s an inline chlorinator, that concentrated chlorine is just as “awful for the heaters”. Most heaters are cupronickel, so they’re pretty impervious to the 3000 ppm salt levels used in a pool. Otherwise, I agree the salt water tends to be more corrosive when it gets on furniture, etc.
