Much prefer them made with actual espresso instead of coffee liqueur. So that limits you to places with an espresso machine. Also don’t like when any sort of cream or milk is added, even if it’s just Baileys. Drink should be dark brown.
I rarely order them because they’re like the mojito of todays world in that bartenders internally groan when someone orders it, but I seem to remember DiGiulios doing a traditional one. Ruth’s or Mansurs might. I think Gino’s has an espresso machine but they do theirs with baileys or milk or something.
