All these “martinis” (appletini, etc) are not martinis, they are mixed drinks without ice.
A martini is chilled gin or vodka, served with a vermouth washed glass and an onion or olive/splash of brine.
Take a screwdriver, vodka and OJ over ice. Remove the ice, serve in a martini glass, you got an orangetini.

I’m sorry but if we can choose our own pronouns then I can choose to call any drink I want a martini.
