Some guys are just topped out and can't get any better. I'm sure he is trying his best. Can't hate him for it. We'll just move on eventually. He is cheap with some good experience. Be hard to let go with so much other youth on the team. I'm thinking we keep him at least one more year..

The issue is that usually those type of players build their bball IQ and playing style to cover it. Whether it’s keeping possession, passing, spacing, etcc. He hasn’t done any of that. My biggest problem is that he’s had bad games or bad possessions and doesn’t learn from it. The dude goes down the court the next possession with full confidence and the same result. This is less about his skills and more about how low IQ of a player he’s been when his skills abandon him.

FYI-

Izaiah Brockington announces on Instagram that he suffered an ACL injury during his pre-draft process.

Pelicans signed him to an E-10 deal following the draft. Wish him the best with his recovery and hope he can get back to full strength. pic.twitter.com/CktKOuntWG

Jesus, this Pels draft/udfa class is rather snakebitten.

Maybe Butler is refusing to play because with this class's luck and his frame he's liable to snap in half.

Harper had 7 assists last night and averaged 7.5 asst per game in the g league, as well as 49/41/83 shooting splits.

Drawing fouls is an art believe it or not. Dude had 14 points on 5 shots yesterday. Coupled with his 18 points on 14 shots in game 1 and he’s sitting on 32 points on 17 shots so far. Imagine calling someone that efficient a ballhog in a summer league game.

Imagine legitimately hating on a 5ft 9 guy who plays well every time he sees the court for us. This fanbase is ridiculous at times lol.

Hate hate hate on UDFA guys and continuously make excuses for high draft picks that have shown less. It’s comical. We should be happy for/love this guy for how much of an overachiever he is. Instead we are tearing him down.

I really want to see Dereon Sebron show me something in the next game. The scouting report on him was that he relentlessly attacks the rim, and he hasn't done much of that -- or much of anything else -- in the two games so far.

Two-way contracts are not guaranteed. We can cut him and give his two-way deal to another player at any time.

I also want to see that. He has been extremely quiet and he’s def at risk of losing that 2 way spot. We will see if he steps up sans Naji and Trey. If Plowden puts together another game or two, that 2 way spot might be his.

Been wondering why Izaiah Brockington isn't on our summer league roster. Had to look it up on Iowa State message boards. Says he suffered an ACL injury back in June that will keep him out for a while.
Didn't realize that...Would have been nice to see him play

I don't know what to tell you man. We clearly have different definitions of playing well. Are you watching him or just looking at the box because he looks bad.

Our offense has ZERO flow. I know that SL is notorious for that but there's a notable difference when Jose was running the O vs this dude who just comes down and shoots or drives wildly.

I see a 5'9 chucker with mediocre ball handling, poor shot selection, average to below average shooting and bad D.

None of the out of control drives he's been getting bailed out on would work in the NBA.

He doesn't stand out at all.

Even compared to Jose last year in SL. Jose didn't blow me away but you could see the ball handling and D.

Harper just doesn't impress me. He's like a washed up Isiah Thomas who we had on a 10-day last year.

Little to no upside IMO.

The amount of times he missed a wide open Trey Murphy or John Petty was pissing me off. He’s been objectively good scoring wise only given the free throws, but man in summer league it is so easy to draw fouls. These borderline NBA players just hack the entire time. Trey couldve also drawn fouls the on every drive if he wanted to.

But yea Harper is fine. Just going to be a career G leaguer because of his size and lack of versatility. Pretty much a sparkplug scorer that is pretty average at the scoring part

Still better than the WNBA though.

Is this what we are doing now? 5 mins into a game and hating on a g league all star/fringe nba guy that played well in game 1 and 2? Lol.

I haven’t even started watching yet, but I’ll be sure to give an honest assessment as usual when I do.

But I would like to ask. How would Kira look if he he was in charge of running the same 5? I never said Harp was the number 1 guy. I just said he has an argument for being better than our worst 3 guards on any given day/game. (Kira, Graham, Temple). And yeah. I worded the Kira but strongly. Please don’t make me analyze Kira’s SL again from last year. It was ugly enough to watch the first time.

Is it just me, or does Seabron's handle not look good enough to get to the basket at will like he supposedly did in college?

I hope we keep Plowden to some extent. Good defense, and has made the right plays everytime he’s on the court while making his shots. Showed some solid athleticism as well. Good size for a guard
