About a year ago I felt the same way and was about to buy something like you are describing. But I realized that I have 3 vehicles that hold a combined 60 gallons of fuel and just needed to be able to get that fuel so I bought a gas tapper. Gas Tapper
With the fuel I have in vehicles along with a few 5 gallon red cans I’ve got plenty enough to last a while.

Well I won’t want to use up fuel in the cars. Might not be a bad idea to have as an emergency on hand but not going to fuel my generator from my cars fuel tanks.

Have you read the reviews, or actually tried to use the “gas tapper” to siphon gas from your vehicles? All modern vehicles have baffles in the gas filler tube to prevent siphoning, and a anti-spill check valve that will not allow a tube to pass through.
