Must you be an a$$hole or is it purely voluntary?

I stand corrected. So it was Orgeron who didn't play him. It was still because it was Les's old run first offense where the quarterback was supposed to be a game manager and not a passer.

The team he held the clipboard for? Look, I support EVERY Tiger when they play no matter what. But isn't it curious that he's been here since Rutherford B. Hayes was president, and has never quite SEIZED the job?

For whatever reason, (injuries, performance) Brennan HAS NOT taken the bull by the horns during his 25 years on scholarship. He also had 12 plays from the 1 yard line against Mizzou and couldn't punch it in. I prefer a QB that finds a way to win.

This is a very simplistic point of view.

You strike me as someone who makes very broad assumptions based on a small part of what's actually true.

Also, why do you think Kelly went out and signed another vet QB when he had just persuaded Myles to come back? Maybe the guy in charge knows Myles is lacking what we need?

There's a lot of reasons, one of the most obvious being that Daniels has more starting experience than the rest of our quarterback room combined.

Another being that Myles seems to be somewhat injury prone.

A third being that Nuss likely transfers out if he doesn't win the job.

You can hypothesize how I strike you any way you want to. It's pretty cut and dried. You either get the job done or you don't. Brennan (bless his heart) has been given MULTIPLE chances to take this job and lock it up as his. He HAS NOT DONE THIS.

Put yourself in Daniel's shoes. You've had an above average career so far, and it would be shocking if you didn't have NFL aspirations. You CANNOT AFFORD to transfer somewhere and not play. I'm sure you would do your due diligence on picking a landing spot. There is no way in hell you would transfer to a place you weren't told that your chances to play were outstanding.

If Brennan had a Joe Burrow type year and led us to a repeat of 2019, there would be no one happier than me. I've seen enough of Brennan to have my doubts though.

Brennan is in his SIXTH year with LSU, and he is running neck and neck with one QB in his second year at LSU, and another in his first. I'm baffled that Myles hasn't transferred to a smaller school, hell even Vandy to be assured playing time to finish his career.

That isn't even true.

He was the starter going into 2020, he was the starter going into 2021.

Other than that, he was a true freshman going up against a senior in Etling and a sophomore against Joe Burrow.

Your "argument" does not really hold water and I don't really care who starts for LSU

We can agree to disagree on why or what factors has caused Brennan to not hold the job. One thing I agree 100% with you is I don't care who starts either. As long as it's the guy that gives us the best chance to win. I'm confident Kelly will go with the best one.

We don't have to agree or disagree, the factors are clearly known.

2017: Freshman Brennan couldn't beat out senior Danny Etling.

2018: Sophomore Brennan couldn't beat out Joe Burrow.

2020: Brennan won the starting job, suffered a season ending injury in the third game of the year.

2021: Brennan broke his arm before the season started leading to him missing the season.

It's odd to say "muh Brennan hasn't done anything" when his only real chance to "do anything" was to win the job as a 180 lb. true freshman or beat out Joe Burrow

Look dipshit, He was losing his starting job in Arizona. And yes you do care.

Kelly was going to get another QB anyway he could. Adding one to change things up, like a lot of other schools do isn't exactly a new innovation.
If you haven't figured out the "For whatever reason" by now you don't even watch LSU games.
Brennan won the job, got injured twice, now has to win it again, in practice not on the internet. That's the end of the story.
The fair thing to do as a coach is let every player compete to get on the field, that's what is happening.
I don't see a 10 td 10 interception qb as better than either of LSU's returning QB's. And those numbers look even worst when you look at his numbers game by game against absolutely terrible opponents. Yes he can move, whether that's enough to stay on the field against a very solid SEC West is a very big question.

My guess is only a guess like everyone else's, but I don't see him starting against the other QB's if they are healthy.

PS Brennan is a QB not a RB. And LSU's OL line at that time was horrible, one of the worst in 20 plus years.

Exactly. It’s very apparent that most of you have never stepped foot in a locker room as part of a team. Busting balls is how many makes bond. It’s funny. Lighten up baws

No. Narcisse transferred (he had him beat anyway) and he beat out Max and Finley.

Wow, what an incomplete and totally unfounded statement. The OC wanted to start him his freshman year and was excited about his passing ability but he was vetoed by that brilliant offensive mind Les Miles. It always amazes me that no one ever blames the coach for a player not starting because, you know the cliche, they see them in practice so they know who should start and who shouldn't. When he finally got his chance he had better stats than Joe Burrow over his first four games and then he got injured. Myles didn't lose any of those games, the friggin defense did!

While I will agree with you that the post you are referring to is complete and utter bullshite. Miles was fired in the season prior to Brennan's freshman season. Remember Coach O almost lost Brennan's commitment when he offered and made a late run at Tua T. 2017, Brennan's Freshman year, the OC was Canada and the HC was Orgeron.

Coach O said in a recent interview that the staff was looking for a transfer in 2018 because of how unsatisfactory the QB room was during the Spring. And none of those guys have done anything to prove them incorrect.
