Wanting a high ceiling player is perfectly fine. The prospect has to have to right attitude and willingness to learn and play behind star level players while trusting the developmental process. I get the feeling a kid like Sharpe wants to go to a team where they’re going to let him start and play big minutes from the get go and learn/develop as he goes.

Any guy who we take needs to have the same mindset and attitude that Herb, Murphy, and Alvarado came in with. Trusting the process is a huge reason why Trey finishes the season strong. If the player shows he’s ready to play winning basketball, they’ll get playing time regardless.

This is why I’ve been so high on Sochan, and have wavered on Sharpe these last couple weeks. The culture fit alone is enough for me to favor Sochan over Sharpe.
