I fly an American flag for every appropriate holiday - so I'm hardly offended by an American flag - but that thing is gaudy. I'm not sure what these people are thinking but it's their money and if the people that live around it don't care - neither do I.

There's a finite amount of green space in the United States. If you really cared about our pristine areas (which you don't), you'd be on the border with a trowel in your hand helping to build Trump's wall. Which is more of a threat to our wild areas, one flag pole or tens of millions of illegal aliens requiring housing/schools/hospitals/etc.?
