So a vote of the people, in a lawful election, has nothing to do with this? Why have a lawful election if you're not going to follow the letter of it?

Exactly you think they would have tried to stop the vote with this lawsuit if this really had merit. If this truly is based on merit and letter of the law all previous incorporations should also be challenged.

Judge had to have been bought. I just can’t see how an incorporated Baton Rouge can be allowed to play victim from an unincorporated area wanting to incorporate just like Baton Rouge already is. Judge either bought or just as ignorant as anyone who actually bought the lie that StG was trying to leave the city of Baton Rouge when it never was part of it.

They are just trying to bleed supporters dry and hope they give up. I hope they continue to fight, but I can see some start to move out of EBR or even Louisiana and just let it burn.

This also changes nothing for Baton Rouge as it’s still going to get worse and worse. It has gotten worse during this fight even as mayor and metro council have been able to keep those sales tax dollars to plug holes in city of BR’s budget. The extra money they siphon from StG and other unincorporated areas isn’t the solution.
