I'll be replacing the flooring in a portion of my home with waterproof vinyl plank. From what I've seen on youtube it should be a pretty easy process. Those of you who have done this before, is there anything you learned in the process that you wish you knew before?
TIA

Is it the snap in or the glue to each other kind?

A level floor is a must. Over time you will fell the undulations of an unlevel floor with vinyl plank. I highly recommend going through the process of starting this job with leveling compound if the foundation or subfloor has any question to it.

Just did the click style. Home Depot product. Only complaint is that the "tongue and groove" edge pieces are very fragile. Be very careful if you have to pull up a piece and reset it. I'm sure a higher quality brand has solved that problemm.

Did it in a bathroom and feels great under the feet.

Make good measurements of the area and have a game plan for the plank layout before you get started.

Make SURE your subfloor is clean and level.
Spend 20.00 on installation kit with spacers and block.
Use the block to tap each plank where the planks will lock together.
All in all it is very easy and the job goes quickly.
